I’ve been MIA lately… but I’ve been working on something. Something that’s very near and dear to my heart. Actually, I’ve been working on hearts. A little while ago I read a great article in Polymer Cafe Magazine. The magazine is all things polymer clay. Fabulous! Any ways… the article was about this guy named Ron LeHocky. He makes hearts out of polymer clay and sells them to raise money for the Louisville Cerebral Palsy KIDS Center. Very inspirational. 🙂
What does that have to do with me. Some of you know how crafty I am, and some of you know how much I love polymer clay. Some of you also know that my husband and I are very involved with Kids Against Hunger (KAH). For some time now I have been burdened to do something to raise money for KAH. I just hadn’t figured out what. Then I read that article and a light bulb went off. I have been focusing on trying to make necklaces or jewelry or something like that. But pins? I never thought of those. And pins can be worn by both men and women… maybe not the flowery ones, but I’ll work on a more masculine design. 🙂
Ready for a preview?
These are just a couple of the ones that I will be listing in my Etsy store. I will be selling them for $6. $5 will go to KAH, and the remaining $1 will cover listing costs and the cost of more materials. I am so excited about this! If you want to purchase any, then check back at my store as I will start listing them in the next couple of days.
Thanks for stopping by today,
