Azure Standard

Maybe you’ve heard of Azure already, & maybe you haven’t. For those who haven’t, Azure Standard is a cooperative based out of Oregon that specializes in natural, organic, earth-friendly foods and products. They deliver directly to customers, buying clubs and retailers by semi truck and UPS. So once a month a great big semi truck pulls up in front of my house. (Wish I would’ve thought to take a picture of that!)

They have quite a number of items available on their web site & people often ask, “What do you get from them?” Well, I’m gonna show you…

1 case of frozen, ground turkey (12 x 1 lb tubes) and 10 lbs of frozen raspberries.
1 case of frozen, ground turkey (12 x 1 lb tubes) and 10 lbs of frozen raspberries.

20 lbs of peaches, 40 lbs of apples, 36lbs of grapes (Yes, seriously!)
10 lbs of frozen peas, 5 lbs of split peas, 1 case (12 bags) of puffed rice cereal, 5 lbs of spelt spaghetti, 2 cantaloupe, Nordic Naturals Cod liver oil & vitamins for children, 1 case (12 boxes) of blue corn taco shells, canola oil, Peppermint Stevia, Coconut oil, Fabric freshener, hand soap, facial moisturizer.

Now you’re probably wondering what on earth we do with all that produce. 🙂

A good portion of the grapes have gone into the freezer for snacks (the ones in the Ziploc bags).

The ones that haven’t been eaten yet have gone into FridgeSmart containers. If you ever get invited to a Tupperware party (or sometimes get invited to 3 in a row) then purchase one of more of these. These have been a life saver for our fruits & veggies.

On to peaches… These pretty much all went in the freezer.

The Ginger Gold apples have gone into the fridge for eating. The red juicing apples have been turned into chunky applesauce, either for snacks or Applejacks. 😀 I didn’t think to take a picture of the applesauce before I put it in the freezer (still need to learn how to can). But I’m learning how to can next month! Lots of tomato sauce to come. 🙂

Have a wonderful Labor Day weekend!
