Aaron & I have really been enjoying some sensory play during the days. So when I came across this pin on Pinterest, I knew we had to give it a try.

The problem was that he saw me looking at the pin & wanted to play before I could check to see if we had ingredients to make it! I had exactly one envelope of Knox Gelatin in my cupboard & lots of Kool Aid. So I mixed the Gelatin with 1 cup of really hot tap water, added the Kool Aid & mixed in another cup & a half of water. Then we put it in the fridge & waited expectantly to see if it would turn out. It did!

Don't you want to get your hands right in there?! (I know you do!)

The fishies went in first. Then ALL the sea creatures took the plunge.

Oh let's add some buttons too.

But I love what happened next. He got up & started digging through one of the kitchen drawers… the one with all the random kitchen gadgets & such.

First he came back with a little plastic scoop. (If you click on the picture you can see it better.)

Next came the mesh strainer.

After that came a small lifter. (Whenever someone has a Pampered Chef party I always add at least one of these to my order. You never can have too many & they make great gifts!)

And finally the dough whisk. But he really loved that strainer!

I know I stepped on a couple of globs of blue gelatin when we were done, but oh was that fun! What shall we do next? 🙂
