Freezer Meal Workshop FAQ

Comfort Foods Freezer Meal Workshop
Comfort Foods Freezer Meal Workshop

I’ve been getting a lot of questions about Wildtree‘s freezer meal workshops, so I thought it would be a good idea to try and answer them all in one post.

Q: How much does it cost?
A: Usually between $76-$80 (and that includes shipping).

Q: What does the $76 include?
A: That will buy you all your Wildtree products you will need to make 10 meals the day of the workshop. You will have leftover products to make more meals with at home.

Adobo Seasoning Ingredients: Garlic, Sea Salt, Onion Powder, Black Pepper, Oregano, Cayenne Pepper, Vegetable Fiber

Cayenne Pepper, Vegetable Fiber

Q: So, I’m not buying any meals, just products?
A: Yes. You will get 7-8 different spice mixes and grapeseed oils to help you make 10-30 meals (maybe even more) depending on how much of them you use per meal. (And they are so good!)

Q: How big are the meals?
A: The meals are 4-6 servings each.

Chipotle Lime Rub Ingredients: Sea Salt, Lime Juice Powder, Garlic Powder, Chipolte Powder, Cumin, Paprika, Onion Powder, Coriander, Black Pepper, Vegetable Fiber, Cilantro, Citric Acid.

Q: Do we cook the meals at your house?
A: No. I will give you a list of meats to bring. You will then bring those meats in 10 different freezer bags numbered 1-10. Once you get to the workshop you will add the oils, spices, and other needed items to each bag. Seal your bags, slap a label on them, and they’re all set to go in your freezer!

Q: So it’s not a full meal, just the meat?
A: Correct. The hard part is done! Just add some brown rice or corn, a green veggie or salad, and dinner’s ready!

Q: I was looking at the menu selections, and I don’t really like (insert distasteful item here).
A: Not a problem, we can be very flexible. I often times will substitute chicken for shrimp, etc. Just talk to me & we can work out those details. 🙂

Q: What is grapseed oil?
A: Grapeseed oil is so good for you! It has one of the highest flashpoints, meaning that it can be heated up to 419 degrees (F) without burning. And there are so many health benefits…
♥ There are NO preservatives such as TBHQ or BHT.
♥ It is NOT hydrogenated.
♥ There is NO sodium.
♥ NO trans fatty acids.
♥ NO cholesterol (it actually aids in cholesterol reduction).
♥ It has one of the lowest levels of saturated fats of all oils.
♥ It is easily digestible and
♥ a good source of Vitamin E Alpha (an important anti-oxidant)(4.3 mg per serving).
♥ Highest concentration of poly (76%) unsaturated acid of any oil.
♥ Helps the body produce High Density Lipoprotein (HDL).
♥ High in Linoleic acid – and its health benefits:
– is a fatty acid which acts as a transporter for saturated fats – helps prevent accumulation in the arteries.
– also known as Omega-6 and in near identical proportions to mother’s milk.
– vital to life and cannot be produced by the body alone

Q: I like the concept, but $76 seems like a lot of money to spend on spices and oils.
A: I can understand your point. If you break it down to 20 meals that you’re going to make with those spice mixes and grapeseed oils, that would cost $3.80 per 4-6 serving meal… as little as $.65 per serving! You’re also saving time by preparing all those meals in one workshop. Also, once you have that meal in your freezer, you’re less likely to spend money on take out. If you’re as busy as me, time = money. And this is money well spent.

Q: What about food allergies?
A: I’m very happy to work with someone around their food restrictions. In fact, that would be a very good reason to host your own workshop… You would also earn most of your products for free instead of having to pay the $76-$80. And I have many different workshops to choose from. 🙂

Q: Wait, what? These workshops aren’t just at your house? I can have one at mine? I can already think of 4 people who would want to come!
A: Yep. It’s that easy. So let’s get your workshop on my calendar! 😀
