{WildTree Wednesday} Freezer Meal Mini Session

I know there are some of you out there that are intimidated or overwhelmed at the thought of trying to get everything prepared  to make at the workshops that I’ve been hosting. But I want to encourage you by saying that it is SO worth it! To have these meals in my freezer has been such a blessing! And the recipes are not hard to throw together.

But I had an idea. What if you wanted to do the workshop just a little at a time? I did that last month and really enjoyed just making 5 meals at the time.

I started out with a 10# pork tenderloin and 5 simple recipes, labeled the bags, and just started cutting up the tenderloin.

Since my bags were all labeled, I just had to drop in the correct cut and amount of meat to each bag.

Next I added in whatever spices, oils, or other ingredients I needed.

Here they are all ready to go in the freezer!

OK, the Caramelized Pork Slices never actually made it into the freezer. 🙂

So, if there’s a workshop that you really want to participate in but don’t think you can get all the prep work done… THAT’S OK! Do what you can. Just bring the chicken, or just bring the ground beef. You get my point. Bring your bags, label them, and add all the spices, etc. so they’re ready for the meat. And make a plan to finish making them a couple at a time over the next couple days. Trust me, you won’t regret it! 😉

Next workshop is May 17th. I haven’t decided on a time yet, but am thinking either 10am-12pm or 3pm-5pm (then you can go straight home & make one of the meals). 🙂
