{Toddler Tuesday} Snowmen at Night

Hot. Glue. Guns. There’s a love hate relationship for ya. Love the outcome, do not love all the glue strings during the process. 😛

ANY ways… We got a book from my Aunt not too long ago called Snowmen at Night.

You can tell it was a popular one because it’s well loved (lots of taped pages). 😉 And it was no different for A. He loves this book! That got me to thinking about the fun felt pages I made to go with The Very Hungry Caterpillar. What if we made some felt snowmen? So I got to work…

I kind of took over the kitchen table.

I can not tell you how much I love having meals in my freezer. There are so many days I just don’t have the energy to cook and these little guys save me. Not to mention, they also keep us eating healthier!

Last week I bought all of the stuff to plow through Wildtree’s One Stop Crock Workshop, knowing that I was going to have about 4 hours to myself on Thursday. However, my youngest got sick. Isn’t that generally how things happen? 😉 Well, I took care of my little guy and figured I would find some time to get those meals made in the next 2 days. I actually was able to kick out a couple while I was making dinner that night. (Will share that in a separate post.)

Thankfully, I had plenty of time on Saturday to knock these babies out. I even timed myself so that I could give you an estimate of how long it might take you.

I started by labeling my bags.

{WildTree Wednesday} Freezer Meal Mini Session

I know there are some of you out there that are intimidated or overwhelmed at the thought of trying to get everything prepared  to make at the workshops that I’ve been hosting. But I want to encourage you by saying that it is SO worth it! To have these meals in my freezer has been such a blessing! And the recipes are not hard to throw together.

But I had an idea. What if you wanted to do the workshop just a little at a time? I did that last month and really enjoyed just making 5 meals at the time.

I started out with a 10# pork tenderloin and 5 simple recipes, labeled the bags, and just started cutting up the tenderloin.

Glippity Gloppity Gloop

Spring break is over & I’ve hardly done any sort of school with Boozle since January. Honestly, I don’t know what happened in that car accident, it’s just been hard to get back into my groove.  ANY ways, it’s not like we did “school”. We just made gloop. And he was SO happy. 🙂

Animals in Gloop

He wanted to dump all of his bears & sea creatures in there right away. And yes, he asked me to tint it pink. 🙂

Bear in Gloop

Pure joy as he watches the gloop drizzle off one of the bears. Can you tell he helped mixed the gloop?

There’s no specific recipe for gloop: 1 part water, 1 part corn starch. I kept adding corn starch until it was the consistency that I wanted. So simple, yet so fun.

Ever made gloop?

It’s melting… it’s melting! The snow is melting! *happy dance*

And the boys are starting back to school this week, after having 3 weeks off. It’s amazing how quickly I get used to having them home. *sigh*

Before I get to the menu plan, I need to share my favorite meal from last week…
